The UCLA Labor Center is excited to announce a new Labor Studies course, Negotiations and Contract Administration, being offered this summer 2009 at UCLA! June McMahon, leading expert and trainer on contract negotiations for over twenty years, will be teaching this course. Open to the labor community, anyone can enroll in the course through UCLA Summer Sessions, www.summer.ucla.edu. The cost is approx. $173/unit.

Covers negotiating structures, strategies, key issues in bargaining, impasse procedures, and alternative negotiating systems. Examination of labor management relationship and analysis of changes in this relationship that result from structural changes in economic system.
