UCLA Social Justice Job Fair
Elizbeth Espinoza, Lanita Morris, Maria Ochoa, Brenda Medina, and Joanna Perez at the Social Justice Job Fair.

For the second year in a row, the UCLA Labor Center cohosted the social-justice job fair with various other university and student entities, including the UCLA Student Activist Project, the School of Public Affairs, and the Community Programs Office. Sponsored by idealist.org, an interactive site where people and organizations can locate resources, opportunities, and supporters, this free, nonprofit career fair connected students and community members with unions, organizations, and university career-service offices.

Over seventy-five organizations attended the job fair, including the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Change to Win Federation, National Day Laborer Organizing Network, SEIU United Healthcare Workers-West, Service Employees International Union Local 721, UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) Program, and UNITE HERE.

Representatives spoke to hundreds of students and community members about current and future employment, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
