Brian Justie is a Senior Research Analyst at the UCLA Labor Center. He completed his PhD at UCLA in the Department of Information Studies, where he examined the impact of new technologies on work and workers. His doctoral research has been published in academic journals including Critical Inquiry, Internet Histories, and Logic. As a graduate student, he coauthored several reports with the Labor Center, including studies of working conditions in the gig economy and fast food industry, and served as a teaching assistant in the Labor Studies program. Brian is also an avid runner and has been known to run upwards of 100 miles per week during marathon training.
