Cuauhtemoc Salinas Martell

Cuauhtemoc Salinas Martell (he, him, they) was selected to be a part of the Dream Summer Internship Program in 2012. He credits the Dream Resource Center for inspiring him to pursue higher education and pursuing his passion in social justice.

Salinas received his B.A. in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley he served underrepresented students to pursue higher education. He revamped the Health Opportunity Fund which supported over hundreds of students to offset their medical and health charges.

Salinas received his M.A. in Social Work from the University of Michigan, where he served as the representative for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Student Advisory Board. Moreover, his activism and nonprofit work have given him the impetus to return to the DRC where he hopes to empower Latinx, undocumented/DACAmented, LGBTQ+ and 1st generation communities.

Salinas self-care tactic is consuming hot cheetos (but don’t forget the limón and tapatio).
