Geographic Mapping

Workshop Description:

Powerful maps can move people in ways that tables of data cannot. In this skills-based workshop, Grace Regullano of the Sunrise Project (former UTLA Strategic Research & Analytics Director) will teach you how to make maps with different software options, and how to use those maps to effectively communicate with members or the public about your campaigns.

Workshop Leader:

Grace Regullano is currently the program director at Sunrise Project, overseeing the private banks program to push the world’s largest banks to stop funding the climate crisis. She has spent nearly 20 years working in the American labor movement and is passionate about supporting the power of working people to advance policies for the common good. Most recently, she was part of United Teachers Los Angeles senior leadership team as the Strategic Research and Analytics Director. In that role, she facilitated a strategic plan that led to a supermajority 6-day strike that saw 70,000 people marching on the streets of Los Angeles in the pouring rain. Her research and campaign work has been featured in the LA Times, Washington Post, and NRK Norway.
