Jasmine Garcia Rodriguez

Jasmine Garcia Rodriguez is the Events and Operations Specialist with the UCLA Labor Center. She is a first-generation graduate from UCLA with a double major in Psychology and Labor Studies. During her undergrad, Jasmine was involved with LEAF at UCLA, aiming to bridge the gap between marginalized students and creating their spaces in higher education; leading her to serve in Governor Newsom’s inaugural California College Corps Fellowship as a K-12 Education Fellow. Establishing a calling for community engagement through her student involvements and courses under the Labor Studies department, Jasmine also served in the UCLA Dream Resource Center’s inaugural Labor Summer Fellowship, building on her community-oriented passions and enhancing her work in the labor movement. Jasmine is a proud Latina and credits her Oaxacan upbringing in shaping her journey in higher education and striving to give back to her community. Jasmine hopes to be able to provide mentorship and encouragement to those who share her background and a passion for community-building. Outside of work, her hobbies include baking, painting, and finding new anime to watch.
