Lesly Ayala is a Communications Specialist at the UCLA Labor Center and IRLE. Her work includes uplifting workers’ voices, labor news, and the research of the Labor Center and the Institute. She graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Chicana/o and Central American studies, and labor studies. Originally from El Salvador, she grew up in South Central Los Angeles and has been passionate about immigrant and worker rights. She is currently a Law Fellow with the UCLA Law Fellows Program. She is also a mentor with GEAR-UP Alumni Association whose work is to mentor college freshmen. Outside of work, she likes to watch soap operas and try out new food.
