New Worker Equity Initiative Repository

Our workforce development team has curated a repository of workforce development resources in order to support organizations advancing equity in California’s public workforce development system. It includes:

  • Overviews that help provide a better understanding of the workforce development system, including apprenticeships and High Road Training Partnerships
  • Literature on the most recent dialogue around equity in workforce development and economic recovery
  • Lists of key organizations and coalitions contributing to efforts on equity in workforce development
  • Key terms, including acronyms that are commonly used in the field

The resources were tailored to advance learning among participants in the California Workforce Development Worker Equity Initiative (WEI) and similar organizations. WEI is a partnership between community and labor organizations, the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), UCLA Labor Center, and National Skills Coalition that seeks to transform the publicly funded workforce development system and promote high road, quality jobs and career pathways for the state’s most marginalized workers.
